Experimental Printing Workshop | The Section Maker
In the classic section drawing of a space, the presentation form is constructive depicting undistorted space. It allows us to produce covers that open up in the real world only through the pacing of the space. It suggests to that extent that the section-cut is a time-based representation. Despite its two-dimensionality and symbolism, the section-cut can reflect the complexity of the space in a graphic.
In this course we will examine what happens when the objectivity of the constructive section-cut blends with the subjectivity of personal perspective. How does a cut look like, which is developed from the perspective of the observer?
With the help of the planar process of screen printing and laser cutting, graphic and plastic cutting works are to be developed.
