Drawing workshop | Transformation Drawing

Latin trans-formare _reshape, transform

The workshop is to be understood as a creative experimentation in which the drawing will be investigated as a space generator. An experimentation, because it is fundamentally not about producing an aesthetically pleasing presentation most effectively. On the contrary, through the graphic analysis the necessity of each line or area should be recognizable in a construct.
How is space defined in the drawing? How can the boundary between the second and third dimension be questioned by adding, superimposing or negation of fragments?
During the workshop, each participant will develop their own project. These various practices of drawing are to be explored:

. Drawing in conjunction with other techniques
. Drawing in space
. Drawing + Object
. Drawing + Computer

The aim is to identify the drawing as an individual means of expression, to develop a meaningful visual language and to flexibly involve these in future work processes beginning with the sketch up to complex project depictions.
